With gentle guidance, and foundations of trust and communication, we can rebuild the relationship between you and your dog and reduce problem behaviors including over-excitability, fear, anxiety, and aggression.

My Story

I grew up with animals and knew from very young that I would dedicate my life to them. I always found dog behavior particularly interesting as a kid and learned a lot from studying my own personal dogs.

That curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for understanding dogs and helping them thrive. I earned my B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University and use that knowledge as a foundation for a science-based approach to working with dogs. Immediately post-college, I began working in animal shelters, advocating for the behavioral health of shelter dogs as well as their suitability to be family pets.

In addition to working with shelter dogs, I also developed a niche for working with city dogs and their owners in the private training world. So many dog owners are overwhelmed with training information online that simply isn’t applicable for dogs living in the city, where other dogs, people, cars, bikes, garbage, you name it - are everywhere, adding a constant layer of complication. I am here to help these families find harmony with their dogs, because it is very possible, and the training journey for these families strengthens their bond and understanding of their dog in an incredibly rewarding way.

I believe every dog has something to teach us, and that building the dream relationship with our dog often starts with taking the time to learn from them first. My goal is to educate humans on dog behavior and empower them to train their dogs for a successful life in the city we call home.
